OverviewAMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.ResponsibilitiesAs an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: Serve as the principal advisor to the Information System OwnerReview and develop Information Systems (IS) accreditation/certification support documentation.Maintain RMF standards and Configuration ManagementPerform STIGS / SCAP on the network, Self Inspections, and enforce remediation actionsAssess Vulnerability and Risk ManagementCreate and maintain system Assessment and Authorization policies.Create, update, and monitor/maintain SOPs and plans including PO&AMs, Continuous Monitoring, SSPs, and Incident ResponsesPerform audits (Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly) to identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasuresMaintain IS security records and advise and prepare Co-Utilization AgreementsTrack software and hardware End of Life (EOL) and End of Service Life (EOSL)Provide security coordination and reviews on all system test plansAttend system Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.QualificationsActive TS clearance with SAP eligibility.Bachelors degree 8-10 years of relevant experience supporting DoD/IC security and Information Technology systemsCurrent DOD IAT Level III certification: e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIHExperience with assessment tools such as ACAS, SCAP, and STIG ViewerAdept at briefing executives and program IPT level leadershipExcellent communication and organizational skillsPossess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skillsCurrent or prior Special Access Program experience a plus!Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $133,000.00/Yr. - USD $165,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
