OR Staff RN w/call

Job Summary Candidates must have recent previous OR RN experience of at least 1 year in an acute care hospital, or if lacking OR experience, must apply to the OR RN residency program. This role requires a commitment to on‑call hours; the on‑call candidate must report within 30 minutes, including driving, parking, walking in, changing and reporting. The RN is responsible for general nursing care to patients and families throughout continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) per Ohio Nurse Practice Act and is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Responsibilities and Duties Assessment/Diagnosis: Conduct initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments (30%). Outcomes Identification/Planning: Document planned nursing interventions based on diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve patient‑specific outcomes (30%). Implementation/Evaluation: Evaluate and document response to nursing interventions, revise plan of care based on evaluative data (20%). Leadership: Actively participate in process improvement activities to meet clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance targets (10%). Operations: Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency as a High Reliability Organization (10%). Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree in Nursing (requirement). BSN required after 5 years of employment. Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio. BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Recent previous OR RN experience of at least 1 year in an acute care hospital or suitable alternate experience and application to residency program. Schedule Variable scheduled shift.
