Position Summary

The role involves setting up, programming, and operating 2-4 axis CNC turning centers to produce high-quality metallic and nonmetallic parts. This requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes using G-code or Quick Code.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials.
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.).
• Deburr and protect parts to prevent damage during production and handling.
• Maintain equipment and organize tooling and fixtures utilizing lean principles.
• Collaborate with supervisors and management to report or troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate production logs and inspection records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to program, set up, and operate CNC lathes.
• Proficiency with Fanuc and Haas controllers.
• Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software.
• Strong understanding of shop mathematics, machining processes, and material properties.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and making adjustments to ensure precision and efficiency.
