We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.Job SummaryResponsible for providing direct care to patients with psychiatric disorder; to ensure the safety and well-being of patients; to support the maintenance of therapeutic milieu.Essential Functions- Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.- Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.- Parent/Family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions- Adheres to guidelines for patients on special status (i.e. suicide, sexual abuse or AWOL precautions).- Provides accurate information on shift-to-shift report and remains on the unit while incoming shift is in report.- Thinks and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.- Displays professional boundaries in relationships with patients at all times.- Complete and file all documentation as required in a timely manner.QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?NoLicenses and CredentialsBasic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferredExperienceRelated experience 0-1 year preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities- Ability to work well collaboratively and independently.- Ability to operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities successfully.- Basic computer skills.- Ability to work effectively with patients, other members of the Health Care Team, facility personnel, and families/supportive others.- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.- Successful completion of AVADE training is required within 30 days of hire.Additional Job Details (if applicable)32 Hours Evening, 3-11:30p; Every Other Weekend and Every Other HolidayRemote TypeOnsiteWork Location2014 Washington StreetScheduled Weekly Hours40Employee TypeRegularWork ShiftEvening (United States of America)Pay Range$19.81 - $28.30/HourlyEEO Statement:4100 Newton-Wellesley Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
