Description
American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist for a Magnet, Level II Trauma acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years experience and BLS/ACLS certification.
Details
- Work in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Interventional Radiology
- Perform EP studies, cardiac catheterization, structural heart interventions (TAVR, Mitral Clip, PFO), and neurointervention procedures
- Cases include STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, CRM device implants, and vascular studies
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including some required Saturdays as part of scheduled shifts
- On-call coverage from 6-8 PM for EP cases that run late
- May float to other units within scope to meet facility needs
- Uses Epic for charting and Philips X-Ray System
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Cath Lab and Electrophysiology procedures
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with vascular studies, cardiac cath lab procedures, and electrophysiology studies required
- Skills in equipment setup, EKG lead placement, and sterile field maintenance required
- Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias

- Facility is a Magnet, Level II Trauma hospital recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
- Scrubs provided
- Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
- Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Former permanent staff must have a 3-month separation before returning as a traveler
- RTO must be submitted and approved individually at time of offer
