As a Customer Service Rep 1 with the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Location: North Georgia Health District Office - Dalton, GA

Job Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations.

• Will answer calls and schedule appointments for six counties within the health district
• Resolves any issues involving scheduling
• Will remain updated on information regarding the programs offered throughout the counties
• Assist with interpreting when needed
• Transfer calls to appropriate department
• Ability to multi-task and handle multi-phone lines
• Work within M&M software system

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting are required. Bi-lingual-(English/Spanish) Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Office Experience
• Two (2) years of medical appointment scheduling experience
• Knowledge of working within M&M software system

Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.
