RN - Maternal Child Health - Systemwide - Full-Time/Seasonal

Overview Full-time (72 hours per pay period) with 12-hour varied shifts that include days, evenings, nights, and rotations of weekends and holidays. The Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system. As a member of the Seasonal team, you can fill vital roles on a contract basis (13 or 26 weeks) to provide critical coverage for peak seasonal demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments. This position covers our Maternal Child Health teams at La Jolla, Mercy San Diego, and Hillcrest. Hourly rate: $68.03. $9,000 completion bonus available at the end of the initial 13-week assignment. Join the Scripps SSRS team as a Registered Nurse. You will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice: assessment, planning, implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients’ progress toward expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patient’s care as delivered by the Care Team under supervision, working collaboratively with other team members to ensure optimal care. Responsibilities Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for labor and delivery patients. Implement and evaluate nursing care plans, ensuring progress toward expected outcomes. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver patient-centered care. Perform assessments and care as information is communicated to you in real time. Qualifications Preferred Education/Course(s)/Training/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred) RNC (preferred) 2 years experience in Labor & Delivery (preferred) EPIC experience (preferred) Experience circulating in the operating room (preferred) Triage experience (preferred) Required Experience/Specialized Skills: 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery 1 year experience in Post-Partum Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English Excellent interpersonal skills Must demonstrate positive behaviors Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing Required Certification/Registration: Current CA RN License Current BLS-C provider from American Heart Association Current Advanced NRP (AAP-issued 8th edition or 7th edition) Current Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring Certificate from AWHONN or NCC Travel Requirements: Will be assigned to one of the three Scripps Health hospital campuses: La Jolla, Mercy San Diego (Hillcrest). Retention Bonus Position is eligible for a retention bonus based on qualifications. The following are not eligible for hiring incentives: internal candidates and rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago. In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met: Remain in original hired FTE status and shift (if specified in offer letter) Remain in original department/specialty Remain in original job title Transfers to other locations reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless noted in offer letter. Benefits and Compensation Minimum rate: $59.16, maximum rate: $85.68. Pay range based on experience and internal equity. Geographic differential may apply for remote outside California.
