Summary To deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards, policies and the ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies. This role demonstrates the nursing process and addresses biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self‑care, educational and discharge planning needs in all steps of patient care, with documentation entered timely and reflecting age‑appropriate consideration. Core Responsibilities Use the nursing process to assess, plan and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families, integrating patient- and family-centered care and the quality caring factors into practice. Identify, document and provide patient education based on learning needs. Participate in evidence‑based improvement activities related to the area of practice. Engage in professional development based on nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations. Travel to Moffitt infusion locations (Tampa, Southshore, Spruce) as needed and be available for 48 hours per pay period to provide float coverage for infusion clinics. Ideal Candidate Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed in the State of FL or with valid Multi‑State privilege to practice in FL. Minimum 1 year of infusion and oncology experience (preferred); critical‑care and medical/surgical skills desirable. Strong ability to support self‑directed education and collaborate across units. Availability to respond to call for float coverage on a rotating basis. Demonstrated commitment to Duffy’s caring model and patient-centered practice. Education, Credentials & Licensure Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred). An Associate’s degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered. Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred). Registered Nurse licensure in Florida or valid Multi‑State privilege. BLS certification required; ACLS required at time of hire or within 18 months for applicable specialty areas. Applicant must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank reports unless successfully appealed. Salary Range $48.50 – $48.50 per hour.
