Hybrid Pharmacy Technician

In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients and caregivers, helping coordinate medication deliveries, confirming supply needs, and ensuring a seamless patient experience. You will support the pharmacy team by processing orders, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with medication fulfillment while adhering to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from patients and caregivers to coordinate medication deliveries and confirm supply needs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, providing exceptional service and support throughout their therapy journey.
• Assist with monitoring medication adherence and identifying potential gaps in treatment.
• Document patient-reported concerns, including adverse reactions, and escalate to the appropriate clinical team when necessary.
• Verify insurance benefits, coverage details, and payment options to support order processing.
• Coordinate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the support they need.
• Accurately enter and maintain patient information across multiple systems to support the end-to-end order fulfillment process.
• Process medication and supply orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery within established service commitments.
• Update order tracking systems with shipment details, delivery status, and other relevant information.
• Provide outstanding customer service to both internal teams and external customers.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to support shared goals and operational success.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License, required
• Minimum 1 year working experience in pharmacy
• High School diploma or equivalent, required

• Previous Specialty Pharmacy experience, preferred
• Bilingual
• Previous call center experience

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role, offering a good work-life balance. Training lasts between 2-6 weeks, with initial training onsite for 2-4 weeks before transitioning to a hybrid schedule. The position involves two days on-site in Elk Grove Village and three days remote. Onboarding will occur Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Available shifts include 7:00 AM3:30 PM, 9:30 AM6:00 PM, and 10:30 AM7:00 PM. Performance may impact the continuation of remote days.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
