Job Overview Full‑time position, 36 hours per week, day shift. The JeffSTAT Paramedic is primarily responsible for providing care to patients during inter‑facility and emergency transports following JeffSTAT's predetermined treatment protocols and serves as an ambassador of Thomas Jefferson Hospital (TJH) to patients and their families. Responsibilities Provide patient care during inter‑facility and emergency transports. Follow JeffSTAT’s predetermined treatment protocols. Act as an ambassador of Thomas Jefferson Hospital to patients and families. Experience & Qualifications Required field paramedic experience, minimum 5,000 hours, in a critical care transport program or 911 ALS ambulance service. Current medical command in good standing with the Philadelphia EMS Office or another region in Pennsylvania, NJ or DE. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Intubation IV insertion Medication administration EKG interpretation Chest decompression Mechanical cardiac assist devices (IABP, ECMO, VAD, Impella) External ventricular devices (EVD) Invasive patient monitoring devices (Arterial line, SWAN Gantz, CVP) Licenses & Certifications ABLS – Advanced Burn Life Support – American Burn Association (within 180 days) ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support – American Heart Association (within 180 days) ATLS‑Audit – Advanced Trauma Life Support Audit Only – American College of Surgeons (within 180 days) ATCN – Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses – Society of Trauma Nurses (within 180 days) TPATC – Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Care – Air and Surface Transport Nurses Association (within 180 days) BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (within 180 days) FP‑C – Certified Flight Paramedic – Board for Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification (within 180 days or 2 years) CCP‑C – Certified Critical Care Paramedic – Board for Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification (within 2 years) EMT – Paramedic – National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (within 180 days) PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support – American Heart Association (within 180 days) PHTLS – Prehospital Trauma Life Support – National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (within 180 days) ASLS – Advance Stroke Life Support – American Heart Association (within 180 days) Benefits Medical (including prescription), supplemental insurance, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, short‑and long‑term disability, flexible spending accounts, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and voluntary benefits providing group rates on insurance and discounts.
