The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) is seeking a Digital Storytelling & Multimedia Officer to elevate its advocacy efforts through dynamic, engaging content. About The Role Reporting to the Communications Manager , the Digital Storytelling & Multimedia Officer will lead the creation of impactful visuals, digital assets, and multimedia storytelling to strengthen WSCIJ’s digital presence. This role is vital in shaping the organisation’s brand identity, ensuring consistency in messaging across various platforms, and driving audience engagement through innovative content strategies. Key Responsibilities Design high-quality visuals, infographics, and campaign graphics that enhance audience engagement. Produce professional videos, animations, and motion graphics to amplify WSCIJ’s advocacy efforts. Develop strategic social media content tailored for engagement, awareness, and mobilisation. Optimise website aesthetics and multimedia elements for seamless user experience. Collaborate with communications teams to strengthen advocacy campaigns through digital storytelling. Innovate and implement emerging digital trends to enhance multimedia engagement. Maintain brand consistency and flag inconsistencies in visual materials for senior leadership. Key Competencies for Success Visual Branding & Graphic Design – Ability to create compelling visuals and maintain a cohesive brand identity. Multimedia Storytelling & Production – Expertise in crafting high-impact digital content through videos, photography, and animations. Social Media Strategy & Audience Engagement – Strong understanding of platform-specific content strategies and analytics-driven refinement. Website Visual Optimisation & Digital Navigation – Capacity to enhance digital assets for improved user experience and engagement. Creative Innovation & Digital Experimentation – Ability to integrate emerging digital trends into storytelling strategies.Content Creation & Messaging Execution – Skilled in translating complex narratives into visually engaging formats. Who We Are Looking For Ideal candidates should have: Bachelor’s degree 3+ years of experience in graphic design, multimedia content creation, or digital strategy. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite or similar software, video editing tools, and motion graphics software. Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and digital engagement techniques. Exceptional storytelling skills with a keen eye for creative digital expression.
