UHealth at SoLé Mia will also deliver the latest in urologic treatments from the renowned Desai Sethi Urology Institute as well as top-notch care from UHealth's nationally ranked neurology and neurosurgery programs.The University of Miami UHealth – Pharmacy Department at SoLé Mia has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician 3.Core Job FunctionsCollects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records.Fills orders and prepares labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.Implements inventory control procedures and ordering supplies within regulatory guidelines. Anticipates pharmacy medication dispensing needs.Responsible for hazardous, specialized, or advanced level compounding, which may include chemotherapy, epidural, ophthalmology, CADD pumps, and TPNs.Serves as a Pharmacy Technician Coordinator, as needed. May also be cross trained in major department roles and responsibilities of a pharmacy technician.Participates in a temporary taskforce/short-term committee.Resolves problems related to prescription inquiries.Performs the preceptor role in the training of students and onboarding of new pharmacy technicians.Serves as a mentor or role model.Stays abreast of advanced knowledge and proficient practice in pharmacy dispensing, medication dispensing systems, controlled substance distribution to floors, pre-packing and any other pharmacy technician duties.Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.Core QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalentCertification and Licensing: State of FL registration; Certification in relevant specialty or fieldExperience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experienceKnowledge, Skills and Attitudes:Skill in data entry with minimal errors.Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondenceAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission and more.UHealth-University of Miami Health System, South Florida's only university-based health system, provides leading-edge patient care powered by the ground breaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
