Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a neurology/telemetry unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center environment
• Perform and document neurological assessments using the NIH Stroke Scale
• Manage care for patients with a variety of neurology diagnoses at an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Float between units within the facility as needed
• Utilize Epic for all clinical documentation and charting
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• At least 6 months of neurology experience required
• Proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale and care of neurological diagnoses
• Valid RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals considered under separate terms)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or trauma center setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Experience with Epic EMR
