Business Analyst

Responsibilities Gather complex system requirements by meeting with clients and researching existing technology to understand the business requirements and possible solutions for new applications. Author and maintain documentation by writing audience-appropriate materials to serve as technical and/or end-user references. Implement changes by adhering to the change management policies and procedures for any given project to communicate to all parties the nature, significance, and risk factors of the solution. Monitor changes and resolve complex problems by responding as they occur, by reviewing all processing and output of the newly implemented solution, and by proactively ensuring the solution works successfully in order to satisfy the customer requirements and to provide a smooth transition to the new solution. Provide support by investigating and resolving issues, including complex issues to ensure prompt, effective service. Must-Have Skills and Experience Must have a working knowledge of applications development and technical architecture. Must have strong business/client engagement skills and ability to establish effective working relationships with subject matter experts, conduct interviews, and lead focus groups. Must be technologically savvy, demonstrating the ability to easily adapt to new and unfamiliar technologies, software, and systems. Excellent writing skills and ability to produce documentation to a high standard. Able to produce user stories, UML diagrams, wireframes, report mock-ups, and other aides for validating requirements and informing the technical design phase. Comfort with IT processes for project management, change management, and the system development lifecycle. Able to converse freely on a range of application and data-oriented technical topics. Demonstrable critical thinking and problem solving. Ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving and constantly evolving high-growth environment; installation of new releases in. Abilities to prioritize conflicting demands, to execute assigned project tasks within established schedule, to work collaboratively in a team environment, to maintain confidentiality. Should-Have Skills and Experience Good experience and sound understanding of IT fundamentals and technologies pertinent to creating business solutions (software development and testing, architecture, applications, databases, integration, infrastructure and networks). At least 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or equivalent experience in IT applications development. At least 2-3 years of experience in program/project management roles in an enterprise-scale environment. Experience with agile methods and design thinking. Employment history must demonstrate progressive levels of responsibility. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills. High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision. High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity. Ability to deliver quality results.
