Hem Saw Operator - 1st Shift

Hem Saw Operator Job Summary: The Saw Operator will set up and inspect equipment, install blades, measure cutting lengths to specifications, and operate the machines. The operator will load raw material into the equipment, off‑load completed material, inspect features with measuring devices, and record measurement results on the project paperwork. Duties / Responsibilities Run a metal cutting saw Clean a metal cutting saw Set up and inspect equipment, install blades, measure cutting lengths to specifications, and operate machines Load raw material into the equipment and off‑load completed material Inspect finished material and record measurement results Required Skills / Abilities One or more years using a metal cutting saw Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a tape measure Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement Excellent attendance and a positive “can do” attitude Previous experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment is a plus One or more years of painting experience is a plus Education and Experience High School diploma or GED required. Physical Requirements Stand, talk or hear for 1 to 10 hours a day; use hands to hold, handle, or feel; walk, squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn; grasp and reach overhead; lift boxes and other materials weighing up to 50 pounds; work in an environment of 55–90 °F; wear vision protection, hearing protection, steel‑toed shoes, and other protective clothing.
