Staff Accountant

Position Summary: The Staff Accountant supports the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and expense reporting functions, ensuring a timely month-end close in accordance with GAAP and company policy.

Essential Responsibilities

General Ledger & Close:

• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications) with supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly GL account reconciliations and resolve variances timely.
• Prepare month-end/quarter-end schedules, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting for management.

Accounts Payable:

• Process vendor invoices in Oracle with proper approvals, accurate GL coding, and timely payment.
• Manage AP aging, payment runs, vendor discrepancies, and W-9 records.
• Support month-end/quarter-end AP close activities and assist with audit requests.

Payroll Preparation:

• Assist in the preparation and processing of semi-monthly/bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Reconcile payroll-related GL accounts and record payroll journal entries.

Travel & Expense:

• Administer SAP Concur; audit expense reports for policy compliance.
• Record approved expense reports in Oracle ERP with accurate GL coding and timely posting.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as the role evolves and business needs change. This list is not exhaustive.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 3-5 years of accounting experience, technology or SaaS company experience a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Oracle ERP and SAP Concur experience a plus. Strong attention to detail, proactive with ability to manage competing deadlines. Excellent communication skills; collaborative and solutions-oriented. This is a hybrid position working 3-4 days per week in the office.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $75,000-$110,000 per year
