Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, provides high-quality patient care by following established nursing care plans. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, ensuring safety and comprehensive care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift, ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only), minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience, ICU experience preferred.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission; collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans; maintains accurate documentation; participates in patient education and discharge planning; ensures safety protocols are followed; delegates tasks appropriately; and contributes to a positive work environment through team participation.
