Job Title: Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Position Overview

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is a working leader responsible for overseeing and ensuring efficient daily warehouse operations to meet customer order requirements and shipping lead times. This role serves as an active member of cross-functional teams, collaborating with internal stakeholders to coordinate logistics and safety initiatives within the facility. The Warehouse Operations Supervisor also plays a key role in developing and implementing process and productivity improvements throughout the operation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor work quality to consistently deliver exceptional customer service.
• Assist in the development and performance management of employees to support optimal operations.
• In conjunction with the Director of Warehouse Operations, manage the hiring, orientation, evaluation, and development of staff.
• Develop and execute positive reinforcement programs to encourage productive behaviors and administer corrective action, up to and including termination, when necessary.
• Develop and evaluate procedures for processing orders, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and meeting customer needs.
• Establish and monitor daily schedules and priorities to ensure resources are utilized effectively and operational objectives are achieved.
• Ensure inventory accuracy, housekeeping standards, product damage minimization, and workplace safety through monitoring and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Warehouse Operations.

Skills and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience working in a warehouse environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Previous Forklift Operator experience required.
• Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) environments preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Reach (including overhead), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel.
• Handle and operate tools or equipment.
• Work in hot and cold warehouse environments.

Technical Skills and Qualifications

• Prior experience with software applications, including WMS, YMS, Billing Management, and Labor Management systems, preferred.
• Experience with data collection, metrics, and KPIs.
• Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment.

Additional Qualifications

• Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends based on business needs.
• Ability to manage daily inbound and outbound freight operations.
• Ability to supervise, train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance.
• Ability to implement and manage operational policies, programs, and systems.
• Ability to apply basic to intermediate computer skills to complete reporting requirements across multiple software applications.
• Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives and action plans.
• Experience troubleshooting operational issues within assigned areas of responsibility.
• Ability to implement process and productivity improvements within the operation.
• Ability to effectively lead multiple teams and collaborate with other supervisors and departments.

Schedule and Compensation

Compensation: $65,000–$70,000 annual salary

Work Schedule:

• 5 days per week
• Monday through Friday
• Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
