Step into a day leading a high-performance production line

You arrive to a clean, organized floor. Overnight metrics are on your screen—output, first-pass yield, and on-time completion. You huddle with your team to align on safety and quality, then coordinate with Planning and Quality to balance labor and materials. A crew member raises a maintenance concern; you adjust staffing, trigger a quick Kaizen huddle, and keep product moving. Midday, you coach a new supervisor, review a grievance with union leadership, and close out a 6S audit. By afternoon, you’re refining procedures, capturing improvements, and updating operational reports. When an issue pops up, you troubleshoot calmly, implement corrective action, and keep commitments to customers. That’s a typical day in this role.

• Base salary: $70,000 – $80,000 annually
• Additional shift premium: $350 per additional shift worked
• Holiday premium: $700 for working designated holidays
• Expected schedule: required to work one weekend per month

• Build and supervise an effective team through meetings, performance reviews, staffing decisions, and career development.
• Coach, motivate, and train for high quality, productivity, morale, and teamwork; provide actionable feedback and document discipline appropriately.
• Onboard employees and deliver EHS training; champion a safety-first culture.
• Mentor new supervisors to grow leadership capability across the operation.
• Partner with union officials, uphold collective bargaining agreements, and resolve grievances professionally.
• Schedule production, assign work, and balance resources to meet demand.
• Review operating and production reports, remove bottlenecks, and reduce costs.
• Promote EHS awareness, continuous improvement, and operational excellence; implement and sustain ABS principles and 6S.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to maintain product flow and inventory accuracy.
• Respond to emergencies, troubleshoot production issues, and enact corrective actions.
• Prepare and analyze operational documentation and production reports.
• Improve procedures for safety, compliance, and efficiency; develop new methods to optimize labor and material utilization.
• Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality on maintenance and production challenges; identify and implement process improvements.
• Conduct safety and 6S audits and ensure readiness.
• Assist with budgeting and goal setting; take on additional duties supporting business objectives.

• Plan ahead to anticipate stakeholder needs and prepare operations for flawless execution.
• Lead reliably—set clear goals and measures, role-model safety, and work effectively within the bargaining unit framework.
• Optimize relentlessly—eliminate waste, increase throughput and quality, and align people and resources to outcomes.
• Facilitate across levels—translate plans into action, provide clear instructions, and connect planning, management, and execution.
• Adapt quickly—reallocate labor and shift variables to meet changing conditions.
• Influence with context—explain the “why,” delegate well, and navigate change and conflict constructively.
• Stay organized—coordinate daily operations, set contingencies, and keep multiple priorities on track.
• Observe and act—monitor performance, scheduling accuracy, quality, and customer satisfaction, then communicate findings and fix issues.
• Own results—take accountability and inspire the same in others.

Basic

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
• Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

Preferred

• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Exposure to TPM, Synchronous Manufacturing, and Kaizen methodologies
• Clear, confident communicator with strong team-building skills at all levels
• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, technical setting
• Self-starter who can lead and sustain change initiatives
• Proficiency with PC applications and documentation management
• Excellent organization, problem-solving, and people skills
• Track record of nurturing a continuous improvement culture
