Paramedic
The Paramedic plays a crucial role in the emergency response of Carroll County Government. You will respond to emergency situations with calm, quick actions. We are looking for a strong understanding of EMS protocols capable of helping citizens and basic life support providers through crisis. Your day-to-day will include important decisions to balance medical needs, overtake challenges, and take critical actions to provide advanced life support and guidance on emergency medical procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Validated Paramedic field experience
- Class C non-commercial driver's license
- Cardiac Rescue Technician, Paramedic certification (Maryland), or National Registry (NREMT) Paramedic
- Hazardous Material Operations or Hazardous Material Awareness course (MFRI or equivalent)
- Emergency Vehicle Operator course (MFRI, VFIS, or equivalent)
- NIMS 100, 200, 700, & 800
