Commissioning Manager

The demand for experienced commissioning talent in Northern Virginia's data center market is showing no signs of slowing down. I'm currently partnered with a leading electrical subcontractor who are actively looking to appoint a Commissioning Manager to support a growing pipeline of large-scale, mission critical projects across the region. These aren't small builds - we're talking $10M+ electrical packages on hyperscale and enterprise data center projects, including: Multi-phase campus builds with ongoing expansion works High-density facilities supporting AI and cloud infrastructure Complex electrical systems including switchgear, UPS, backup generation, and critical distribution This role will play a key part in owning the commissioning process from start to finish, working alongside project teams, clients, and third-party commissioning agents to ensure systems are delivered, tested, and handed over to the highest possible standard. Key responsibilities include: Developing and executing commissioning plans across large-scale projects Leading pre‑functional and functional testing of electrical systems Coordinating with GC's, owners, and commissioning agents Managing documentation, reporting, and final handover Driving quality, safety, and performance across all commissioning activities Qualifications: A strong electrical background within mission critical or data center environments Experience working on $10M+ electrical scopes A track record of delivering complex commissioning processes on time The ability to operate in fast‑paced, high‑value project environments This is a great opportunity to join a contractor with a strong pipeline, repeat clients, and long‑term work secured across Virginia.
