Payroll SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll timely and accurately, maintaining compliant employee and HR benefit records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and alignment with best practices. This role is essential in supporting employee relations and requires experience in maintaining an efficient and effective process.Monday and/or Tuesday hours are requiredResponsibilities:Perform biweekly payroll processing for all W-2 employees promptly and accurately.Assist in providing biweekly payroll inputs for all W-2 employees paid through the Diocesan payroll department.Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets.Provides assistance and responds to inquiries and questions from Pastors, Principals and employees ensuring confidentiality of employee dataAudit and maintain all timekeeping and payroll processing records.Assist with the development and implementation of payroll practices, policies, and procedures.Skills:Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and completely timelyAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to apply best business practices to business office operationsHighly organizedWillingness to explore learning to enhance effectiveness in maintaining financial informationKnowledge of the Catholic FaithMust be a person of honesty and integrityQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll administration.Experience with payroll software (e.g., UKG, Paychex, ADP) requiredHigh proficiency using Microsoft ExcelAbility to handle high level confidential information with discretionExceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesPay: $20-$25 per hour or commensurate with experience, 15 – 20 hours per weekWork Location: In person
