Phlebotomist Full Time Position

The phlebotomist draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.

Job Summary:

• Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis
• May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Works under immediate supervision
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager

Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
• Certification by a nationally recognized body
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
