Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher blending high school teaching and elementary behavioral support, just outside the Twin Cities area. This dual-role position allows you to make meaningful connections with students and staff, offering diversity in your daily practice across both a high school and elementary setting. You’ll spend mornings as a high school teacher supporting the Anoka Crew, then transition to afternoons as a Behavior Intervention Specialist collaborating with elementary educators.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching License, Tier 3 or Tier 4 (required for all contracted Special Education Teachers)
• Strong background in Special Education, with proven experience at both elementary and high school levels preferred
• Skilled in behavior plan development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work with varied age groups and settings
• Must be able to provide a current resume and evidence of proper licensure

Core Responsibilities:

• Serve high school students in the mornings (0.5 FTE), developing and implementing IEPs, instructional strategies, and differentiated learning approaches
• In the afternoons, act as a Behavior Intervention Specialist (0.5 FTE), supporting teachers in elementary classrooms by developing effective behavior intervention plans and providing consultative support (no direct caseload management)
• Partner with teaching staff to address student needs and create positive learning environments
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute actively to school-wide initiatives
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation as required

This position runs from approximately August 25, 2026 to June 10, 2027, following a Monday-Friday schedule, 7am-3pm.
