The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to Director Submarine Program directorates and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Director Submarine Program unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy’s top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program, the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), and the AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Office, to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting Director Submarine Program will continue SPA’s decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition. Responsibilities In this role, the Program Analyst will support the NAVSEA AUKUS program within Team Submarine responsible for the integrated support to the Australian Nuclear Powered Submarine initiative. This role supports the Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to assist with daily running of the office. The DPM oversees the international, contracts, finance, SIB, and corporate operations teams. Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to, editing and coordinating correspondence items ahead of DPM review, organizing and supporting senior-level trilateral governance meetings, able to manage calendar/schedule, attend meetings and provide executive notes and summary, provide first draft of materials for DPM review, tracking high-visibility action items, monitoring program status and acquisition efforts, and coordinating with external offices when relevant. Experience operating in fast-paced/start-up environments and briefing senior executives is a plus. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. The candidate should be adaptable, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and possess a commitment to fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders. This position is located onsite with the client at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. DC Pay Transparency Range: $115k-150k. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, business administration (or other relevant field) 8+ years’ experience (preferably in a government office, either as civilian, contractor, or military) Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with high emotional intelligence Strong attention to detail and experience with process improvement Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications Current DoD SECRET clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment Desired Qualifications Experience supporting submarine programs Experience with international/FMS programs Experience with DON Correspondence formatting Experience with and knowledgeable of the Navy requirements and program office organizations and processes #J-18808-Ljbffr Systems Planning & Analysis
