Base pay range $65.40/hr - $67.40/hr The CT Technologist is responsible for coordinating and producing high-quality computerized tomography (CT) studies and assisting in CT-guided procedures. This role requires critical‑thinking skills, knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy/physiology, radiation safety, venipuncture, and safe medication administration for contrast media and adjunct medications. The technologist will operate sophisticated imaging and ancillary equipment to produce quality CT procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform quality CT examinations for review by the interpreting physician. Coordinate CT examinations according to physician orders and protocols. Protocol examinations based on established guidelines and clinical history. Perform venipuncture and medication administration with a focus on safety and effectiveness. Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). Assess patients prior to studies to ensure safety and cooperation. Educate patients and address concerns/questions before executing CT exams. Demonstrate proficiency in using picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) for transmitting, archiving, and retrieving digital images. Education Successful graduation from a Joint Commission approved School of Radiologic Technology. Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences. Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Certification & Licensure ARRT – Radiography – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Upon Hire) ARRT – CT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Upon Hire) CRT – Certified Radiologic Technologist (Upon Hire) IV Certification (Upon Hire) BLS – Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Upon Hire) RHF – Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire Preferred Experience Previous experience in an acute care facility is preferred. Skills and Knowledge Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and technical factors. Proficiency with multiple computerized systems. Proficiency in using PACS for digital image management. Knowledge of and compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.
