The incumbent will be responsible for a range of custodial tasks to create a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.Essential Functions & Duties:Greet customers entering the store and provide excellent customer service;Responsible for regularly cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the store, gift shop, fuel dock, restrooms, administration offices;Responsible for emptying trash bins, dispose of waste properly, and ensure that the Marina's waste management procedures are followed;Assist with restocking merchandise on shelves and ensuring that inventory is organized and properly stored;Provide friendly and helpful customer service to all guests and staffAssist with the setup of facilities for meetings, conferences, events, etc;Clean walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments;Secure entrances and exits of buildings when facilities are not in use;Follow all safety and environmental instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed;Safely operate all vehicles and other job related equipment;Report any malfunctioning equipment or needed repairs to facility maintenance;Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.QualificationsQualificationsPossess reliable transportation to work. Ability to be trained in policy and procedures. Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be 18 or older.EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience1 to 3 years in related field preferred.General Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of APM marina services and amenities.Skills which allow for the tactful resolution of guest problems or concerns.Knowledge or ability to be trained in fire extinguisher operation.Knowledge or ability to be trained in ISO/EMS awareness.Knowledge or ability to be trained in employee orientation.Knowledge or ability to be trained in hazard communication.Knowledge or ability to be trained in hazardous materials response/respiratory protection.Knowledge or ability to be trained in emergency response.Knowledge or ability to be trained in recyclable materials.Knowledge or ability to be trained in blood borne pathogen awareness.Knowledge or ability to be trained in clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, designing forms, etc.Is this position closely, moderately, or minimally supervised?
