Medical Lab Technologist

Labcorp seeks a Medical Lab Technologist for the Halsey Lab in Portland, Oregon, working overnight shifts in hematology and chemistry. The role involves performing laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring accurate test results for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established departmental criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures in hematology and chemistry
• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Execute and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Report accurate test results and maintain inventory of bench supplies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Medical Technology
• ASCP or AMT certification
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• One year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively
