Position Summary HECO is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Electric Motor Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you'll work on a wide range of AC and DC electric motors up to 15,000 HP and 13,800V, supporting our mission to keep industrial operations running smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Dismantle, inspect, and reassemble AC and DC electric motors (up to 15,000 HP / 13,800V). Conduct detailed testing using tools such as: Meggers Low OHM Meters Micrometers Hi-Potential (HiPot) Testers Surge Comparison Testers Bar-to-Bar Testers AC/DC Test Panels Accurately document findings and measurements using tablet-based job tracking systems. Ensure all repairs meet customer specifications and quality standards. Collaborate closely with the Mechanic Team Leader and other departments to ensure timely, high-quality results. Requirements Previous experience with electric motor repair and testing (AC and DC systems preferred). Familiarity with precision measurement and electrical testing tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow documented processes and safety procedures.
