Food Service Supervisor- Full Time- Days/EveningsPosition Overview: The Supervisor - Nutrition & Dining manages the shift including production, service and retail operations to ensure the highest quality service to our patients, visitors, employees and guests while adhering to all regulatory requirements put forth by local, state and federal agencies.What you'll do: Staff supervisionAdherence to all local, state and federal safety and sanitation codesVendor management, including periodic review to ensure highest quality and valueCateringAccounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including End of Month, End of Year documentation and recordkeeping, billing for catering, floor stocks and other interdepartmental transfersFood cost analysis Effective communication and demonstration of team-based management.Subject Matter Expert (SME) using food service management softwareRetail/cash handlingIs flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities, not noted above. Minimum Qualifications:Experience - Minimum of 1 year of supervisor-level experience in food service, preferably in an acute care setting.Licensure - Not requiredPreferred Qualifications:Education - 2 year degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, Business Administration or related field.RD, CDM, CFPP preferredExperience working in a healthcare environmentServsafe or Food Safety Manager certifiedCooking experiencePhysical Requirements:Standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling and reaching. May be exposed to areas of extreme heat or cold. Primary work location may include loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, exposure to sharp objects.
