Responsibilities Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in the area of Independence, MO is actively hiring an Admissions and Intake Registered Nurse (RN). We are seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intake and Admissions team as a full time RN. This role is critical for comprehensive clinical assessments, facilitating appropriate level-of-care determinations, and ensuring a seamless, supportive experience for patients and their families.

The Admissions and Intake Registered Nurse (RN) will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments
• Evaluate patients for appropriate levels of care and admissions criteria.
• Coordinate and collaborate for all necessary information with physicians and other staff

About Three Trails Behavioral Hospital:

Three Trails Behavioral Hospital will serve children and adolescents, adults and seniors with innovative and evidence-based inpatient behavioral healthcare focused on individual needs and comfort. The facility is expected to open in the second half of 2026. The hospital will feature 120 licensed beds ready to meet the mental health needs of the surrounding community.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri (or compact license)
• Experience in behavioral health, assessments, crisis intervention, and admissions preferred
• Experience in intake, triage, or emergency services strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Be able to work three 12 hour shifts per week or potentially 8 hour shifts with alternating weekends.
