Corporate AccountantLocation: Shelton Area, CT Salary: $70,000–$90,000+ DOE + Year-End Bonus Schedule: Full-Time | HybridAbout the Corporate Accountant OpportunityOur client is looking to add a Corporate Accountant to its growing accounting and finance team. This is a newly created position reporting directly to the Controller and offers the opportunity to take on a broad range of accounting responsibilities while gaining exposure to leadership.The Corporate Accountant will play an important role in day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, identify inefficiencies, and help improve existing accounting processes.There is also strong growth potential for someone looking to take the next step in their accounting career.Corporate Accountant ResponsibilitiesPerform general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end closeSupport financial reporting and account analysisAssist with AP, AR, billing, and collections as neededPrepare reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial recordsSupport annual audits and provide requested documentationAssist with process improvements and accounting initiativesPartner directly with the Controller and other members of leadershipIdentify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to existing accounting processesCorporate Accountant Qualifications3–5+ years of accounting experience preferredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferredStrong corporate accounting experienceSolid understanding of GL accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end closeExposure to AP, AR, financial reporting, and audit supportStrong Excel skillsExperience with ERP/accounting systemsProactive personality with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilitiesCompensation & Benefits$70,000–$90,000+ depending on experienceYear-end bonusHybrid work schedule401(k) matchComprehensive health benefitsPaid time offCompany-sponsored events and team activitiesOpportunity for continued professional growth
