About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead its engineering organization in the design and production of custom shipping containers for a variety of industrial and advanced technology applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing executive leadership, technical direction, and performance accountability across various engineering functions, including quality, manufacturing, production, container architecture, design, test, and systems engineering. This hands-on executive role requires a professional with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, a minimum of 15 years' progressive engineering experience, and at least 7 years' in engineering leadership with a focus on multidisciplinary team management. As the principal engineering authority, the VP of Engineering will establish and enforce technical standards, review criteria, and quality gates to ensure the delivery of scalable, manufacturable, and mission-ready solutions. The role involves overseeing multiple concurrent engineering projects, from initial customer engagement to post-delivery improvement, and requires a leader with a proven track record in building engineering capability and capacity. The ideal candidate will have a background in defense or aerospace and will be adept at integrating engineering personnel to meet customer requirements. Key responsibilities include defining the engineering vision, establishing decision-making processes, and ensuring that the engineering team works cohesively to meet the company's strategic goals and customer commitments.
