About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Development Officer and Senior Vice President for Global Development. This executive will be instrumental in driving the organization's revenue growth and sustainability, leading a diverse range of revenue-generating teams, and providing strategic vision for philanthropic efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a revenue growth strategy, identifying and responding to shifts in the philanthropic landscape, and leveraging the Board of Directors to expand donor networks. Key responsibilities also include fostering a donor-centered culture, overseeing budgets and workforce planning, and mentoring staff to ensure a high-performing team. The role requires a professional with significant experience in nonprofit development, a proven track record in major donor and institutional fundraising, and the ability to build partnerships in a global context. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's may substitute for experience) and a strong background in direct donor engagement. A background in environmental, climate, or related sectors is preferred, as is prior experience as a Chief Development Officer. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative, strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead through change. They should be data-driven, highly organized, and demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and diversity.
