About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Design and Construction to play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership and execution of capital improvement, renovation, and property transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for preserving and enhancing asset value across the company's portfolio, with a focus on aligning projects with brand standards, operational goals, and investment objectives. This leadership position involves overseeing all aspects of design budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and construction execution, while also driving innovation in project delivery, sustainability, and cost management practices. The SVP D&C will collaborate with senior leaders in asset management, finance, and operations, and is expected to have a strong background in the commercial real estate industry, particularly within an owner/operator, developer, or owner's rep firm. Key responsibilities for the SVP D&C include leading the company's design, construction, renovation, and capital project functions, establishing department standards, and building high-performing internal teams. The role also requires the candidate to have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 15 years of design and construction leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects within multi-million square foot operating portfolios, with a strong preference for those with exposure to the hospitality sector. Exceptional communication, business acumen, and the ability to gain consensus among various stakeholders are essential attributes for this position.
