Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Anesthesiology

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
• Evaluate patients pre-operatively and develop individualized anesthesia plans
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient safety
• Manage post-anesthesia care and assess patient recovery
• Provide consultations regarding anesthesia techniques and protocols
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards within the facility

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Active medical license to practice anesthesiology
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in anesthesiology
• Strong knowledge of anesthetic techniques and protocols
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse medical team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and education

• Schedule: Friday (5p-7a) or weekends (7a-7a)
• Annual Volume: 3,600 surgical cases
• Case Types: Orthopedics, L&D, spine, GI, gynecology, urology, cath lab, interventional radiology, bariatric bypass, and minimal vascular cases
• Support Staff: Anesthesiologists, CRNA, and anesthesia tech
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses
