Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Description: PCU Registered Nurse

Shift Ratios: 1:5

Years of experience required: 2 Years Experience and Community Hospital Experience Required, Previous Charge Experience Preferred.

First-timers accepted: Yes

Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit.

Weekends required: 8 weekend shifts in Saint Lukes 6-week schedule period, combination of F/S/S.

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed.

Certs required: BLLS NIHSS, ACLS

Skills required: Work settings include MS/Tele, Telemetry Oncology, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Cardiovascular: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath. Gastrointestinal: Feeding tube care and management. Genitourinary/Renal: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Medications: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA. Neurological/Psychiatric: CVA. Plastics: Surgical drains. Respiratory: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management. Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.

Skills preferred: Cardiovascular: Sheath Removal. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports, Phlebotomy. Orthopedics: Total Joint Replacements.

Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks. The cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the Contractor Personnel is assigned.

Special requirements: AMI, Cardiac Arrythmia, Heart Failure, Chest Pain, Vascular / PVD, Intermediate level of care, Sepsis / infection, Pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, SI, GI bleed, Pre / Post Cath patients, Femoral line / groin site management.
