Sales Associate - Fruit Stand

Position purpose: To provide excellent customer service to our customers.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: (material responsibilities and essentials duties)

• Greet and acknowledge every guest
• Demonstrate solid product knowledge
• Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements
• Demonstrate friendly and helpful service to all customers consistently
• Suggest additional items to the customer
• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at registers, including scanning or inputting barcodes
• Ring each item on the correct key
• Minimize cash discrepancies so they do not exceed +/- $5.00 per day
• Thank all customers at the end of each transaction
• Handle difficult/challenging situations with a high level of professionalism
• Meet or exceed customer service standards
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, and display maintenance
• Stock the floor as needed
• Complete housekeeping tasks as needed
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention
• Ensure there is enough register and credit card machine paper for the following shift

Qualifications: (minimum educational and experience qualifications, required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, required certifications, etc.)

Have basic math skills

Able to follow verbal and written instructions

Able to independently evaluate current conditions against standard and perform tasks necessary to bring areas to standard.

Special Position Requirements : (Any hazard, risk, security issue or related special conditions which apply to the position, i.e. chemicals used, equipment used, cash handling, etc.)

Cash handling is required. Cash discrepancies must not exceed +/- $5.00 per day

Some exposure to cleaning products, (floor cleaner, window cleaners), is required

• PAID TIME OFF (PTO) – Full-time non-exempt employees begin accruing PTO at a rate of one week for the first year of employment, which can be used after 90 days of employment (.01925 hours per regular hour worked). The accrual rate increases to two weeks after two years of employment (.0385 hours per regular hour worked).
