Machine Shop Foreman

Machine Shop ForemanOxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking a hands-on Machine Shop Foreman to oversee daily shop operations, lead CNC machine shop personnel, and support production quality, scheduling, setup, and machining work. This is a direct hire, onsite opportunity on a first shift schedule.This role is best suited for an experienced machinist who has moved into shop leadership but can still be hands-on with CNC and manual machining, setup, tooling, troubleshooting, and drawing interpretation. Salary: 70-80KSchedule Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PMResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations within a CNC machine shop environmentLead, direct, and support machinists and shop personnel to meet production schedules and quality standardsProvide hands-on machining support as needed, including setup, tooling, troubleshooting, and process improvementWork with CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines in a production manufacturing environmentRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, tolerances, and machining specificationsSupport machine setup, tooling selection, program review, and first-piece inspection activityUse knowledge of G and M codes to assist with programming review, edits, troubleshooting, and machine efficiencyMonitor workflow, assign work, and help resolve production issues on the shop floorMaintain focus on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvementTrain, coach, and mentor machinists to improve performance, consistency, and technical skillQualificationsAt least 10 years of hands-on machinist experience required5 to 10 years of experience managing or leading machine shop personnel requiredStrong CNC machining background requiredExperience with CNC and manual mills, lathes, tooling, setup, and machining processesStrong understanding of G and M codes requiredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsFamiliarity with Okuma, Mori Seiki, Kitamura, and Haas equipment preferredExperience supporting machine troubleshooting, process improvements, and shop-floor problem solvingStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Oxford Solutions
