Job Description Summary

The RN Care Coordinator reports to the Ambulatory Manager of Operations. Under general supervision, the RN Care Coordinator provides coordination of care for pediatric patients under the care of Pediatric services within the various ambulatory settings. This role facilitates care through participation in general and multispecialty clinics, individualized goal-directed care utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process, interacts with interdisciplinary team members to achieve desired results, and assumes responsibility for educational programs and outcomes within Children’s Services Ambulatory Care. 

Coordinate all clinical care within all clinics to maximize safety, patient and co-worker satisfaction and quality outcomes.

Job Description

Educational and Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in nursing required and three years related nursing experience. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Some positions require certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA). Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Some positions require certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA). Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
