What will you be doing?

• Lead all recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and staffing initiatives within the Housekeeping Department to ensure appropriate coverage and operational excellence.
• Provide strategic leadership, coaching, training, and development for housekeeping associates and managers, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee associate performance management, including evaluations, recognition, corrective action, and career development planning.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, labor costs, linen inventories, equipment, and operating supplies to achieve financial and operational objectives.
• Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance are consistently maintained throughout guestrooms and public areas.
• Drive guest satisfaction by delivering exceptional housekeeping services and proactively addressing service opportunities and guest concerns.
• Maintain accurate room status reporting and collaborate closely with Front Office and Rooms Division leadership to support efficient hotel operations.
• Lead departmental meetings and communicate key performance metrics, service standards, safety initiatives, and operational priorities with housekeeping leadership and associates.
• Analyze departmental performance, including payroll, purchasing, productivity, and quality metrics, implementing action plans to improve results and meet budget goals.
• Partner with cross-functional hotel leaders to support operational excellence, enhance the guest experience, and achieve overall property objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

• Degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in resort housekeeping with four or more years as a Director or Assistant Housekeeper in a property of similar size.
• Bilingual in Spanish is helpful.
• Strong written and verbal communication is required.
• Ability to read and interpret business records, statistical reports and financial information.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven.
• Possesses strong organizational /time management skills.
• Able to develop camaraderie with team members.
• Act ethically and honestly in all business practices and builds professional relationships by promoting mutual trust.
• Ability to hold yourself, employees, and organizations accountable for their actions.
• Ability to maintain composure and remain pleasant under high pressure situations.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Salary Estimate: $65,000 - $75,000/year
