Sub-contractor (Windows & Doors)

The Sub‑contractor is responsible for removing existing windows and doors and installing new Pella windows and doors in residential applications. Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Coordinate and verify installation schedules with Project Coordinator and/or Installation Supervisor for jobs assigned. Direct work processes while on the job sites. Determine installation method, work procedures, materials, tools, and work aid requirements from the work order form. Install windows and doors to walls/openings, according to the installation guidelines published by Pella Corporation and within the quality standards established by Pella Corporation. Test the operations of each unit and demonstrate operation of products to the customer. Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the job site after installation. Communicate effectively with customers and represent Pella Mid‑Atlantic responsibly on all job sites. Train customers on operating procedures for new windows and advise on how to contact Pella Mid‑Atlantic service if future needs arise. Ensure customer completes the Certificate of Completion and collect any outstanding balances. Demonstrate a commitment to the highest quality of work. Conduct site inspections of sub‑contracted installers as necessary to meet business needs. Perform recovery work as required to satisfy business needs. Ensure all product/material removed from the warehouse has been scanned by warehouse personnel and that warehouse personnel and/or project coordinator are alerted to any product/material returns. Use, maintain, and store company‑provided tools appropriately. Meet company safety requirements by keeping the work area neat and clean, following safety precautions, wearing required safety apparel (e.g., shoes, safety glasses, fall protection), and reporting any safety issues to the manager. Maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with the company Fleet Safety Policy. Skills/Knowledge Prior knowledge of general construction applications, terminology, and/or window and door applications. Respond clearly, concisely, and promptly to questions/requests via phone or email. Write legibly and informatively; read and interpret written information; edit work for spelling and grammar.
