Preferred working locations: Atlanta, GA, USA; Sunnyvale, CA, USA Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and final assembly process development and sustaining. Experience in PCBA (L6), system integration manufacturing (L10), and NPI process development. Preferred qualifications Experience configuring and tracking Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Capability (CP), and Process Capability Index (CPK) metrics. Experience utilizing statistical analysis tools to monitor quality. Experience with design and Gerber tools including Valor, AutoCAD, and Cadence Allegro. Knowledge of manufacturing testing procedures. Understanding of industry manufacturing inspection standards. As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be accountable for the end‑to‑end manufacturing lifecycle of Cloud hardware, with a specific focus on L6 (PCBA), L10 (System Assembly), and L11 (Rack Integration) platforms. Moving beyond traditional sustaining engineering, you will lead the transition toward a “Smart Factory” ecosystem. By leveraging AI, predictive maintenance, and unified data platforms, you will directly support our hyperscale growth and drive the future of our manufacturing capabilities. Compensation US: $144,000 – $209,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Responsibilities Provide dedicated on‑site support at Contract Manufacturers, owning Manufacturing Capability Assessments (MCA) and driving root‑cause investigations for assembly issues. Define capacity requirements via time studies and line balancing, and lead the technical manufacturing definition for Requests for Quotations (RFQs). Drive early New Product Introduction (NPI) engagement, own the Design For Manufacturing/Design For Assembly (DFM/DFA) process to resolve manufacturability issues, and qualify new site transfer lines. Manage production‑released hardware through End of Life (EOL), overseeing assembly yields, process controls, and factory readiness for next‑generation technologies. Implement automation and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and costs while maximizing yield, capacity, and overall product quality.
