Inpatient Rehabilitation Clinical LiaisonThe George Washington University Hospital (GW Hospital) is a 395-bed tertiary care, academic medical center located in downtown Washington, DC, next to the Foggy Bottom metro. The GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS), adjacent to the hospital, is the 11th oldest medical center in the country and the first in the nation's capital.POSITION SUMMARYThis position acts as an inpatient rehabilitation expert between internal and external referral sources and the inpatient rehabilitation program. The Clinical Liaison will ensure appropriate patient admissions to the inpatient rehab unit through clinical assessments and screenings in collaboration with the rehab physicians and Medical Director. The Clinical Liaison is the primary responsible party focused on moving appropriate candidates into the inpatient rehabilitation unit at the appropriate time.
