About the Role:

Kaleidoscope Child Care Center in Bridgeville, PA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Head Preschool Teacher to lead our vibrant early childhood classroom! Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally focused lesson plans and curricula for preschool-aged children
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning through play
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
• Monitor and document children's developmental progress and communicate updates to families
• Maintain open, positive communication with parents and guardians through daily interactions and conferences
• Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and child care health and safety standards
• Collaborate with center staff and administration to support program goals and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed preschool or child care setting
• Knowledge of PA state child care regulations and NAEYC developmentally appropriate practices
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong classroom management and early childhood curriculum development skills
• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
• Ability to pass required background checks per Pennsylvania child care licensing requirements
