Field Service Technician III

Field Service Technician III (Finance) Position Summary Tech III responsible for safe, high-quality field work in field services- executing work orders, maintaining assets, and delivering responsive customer service. Key Responsibilities Complete service orders (turn-on/off, rereads, meter tests) within SLAs; document results. Investigate high/low usage, no-reads, and tamper alarms; escalte anomalies. Perform utility locates/mark-outs and customer appointments professionally. Use mobile apps/handhelds for work orders and inventory; maintain vehicle and tools. Support emergency response and after-hours rotations as assigned. Lead small crews/tasks; mentor Tech I/II staff and verify job safety setups. Advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; recommend preventive improvements. Qualifications 5+ years relevant field experience in Field Services operations within water/wastewater/public works. Strong safety mindset (confined space, trenching/MOT, PPE); clean driving record. CMMS/mobile work order proficiency and accurate documentation. Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical coursework preferred. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Field-based role with frequent driving, outdoor work in varied weather, and exposure to traffic, confined spaces, biological/chemical hazards, energized equipment, and uneven terrain.
