Senior Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior HR Generalist to support our growing organization and workforce across multiple locations and states. This is a hands-on HR position designed for an experienced professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where priorities can change quickly. This individual must be comfortable supporting both office- and field-based employees and managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees, managers, and leadership across multiple locations Manage day-to-day HR activities and provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment practices Support employee relations matters, including investigations, employee concerns, performance issues, attendance, corrective actions, and conflict resolution Partner with managers and leadership to address employee performance and workplace concerns Coordinate and monitor onboarding activities to ensure all required documentation and employment requirements are completed accurately and on time Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within the HRIS and other company systems Monitor onboarding and employment documentation to help ensure compliance with company, federal, state, and local requirements Support compliance requirements associated with working as a federal contractor Assist with internal audits and ensure required employee documentation is complete and properly maintained Partner with management to ensure employees are properly classified, documented, and onboarded Support performance management processes, including performance reviews, coaching, documentation, and corrective action Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee questions regarding company benefit programs Prepare HR reports and provide information to leadership regarding staffing, turnover, employee relations, onboarding, and other HR matters Help ensure consistent application of company policies across multiple locations Support employees working in different geographic locations and assist with HR related needs that may arise outside of the corporate office Assist with workforce planning, staffing initiatives, and organizational changes Develop and improve HR processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information Recruiting and Workforce Support Help ensure candidates meet applicable employment requirements before beginning employment Support background checks, employment verification, drug screening, and other pre-employment requirements as applicable Coordinate closely with hiring managers to ensure new employees are ready to begin work as scheduled Help identify and resolve onboarding issues before they impact an employee’s start date Compliance and Risk Management Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements Support HR compliance requirements associated with federal contracting Monitor employee documentation and identify potential compliance issues before they become larger problems Assist with audits, investigations, and documentation requests Ensure HR records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained Stay informed of changes in employment regulations and communicate relevant updates to HR leadership Partner with management to ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred 8 or more years of HR Generalist experience Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, HR compliance, and performance management Experience supporting employees across multiple locations or states preferred Experience working with federal contractor compliance requirements preferred Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices Experience conducting employee investigations and handling sensitive employee relations matters Experience working with HRIS and applicant tracking systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with HR, management, and executive leadership Preferred Qualifications SHRM CP, SHRM SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification Experience supporting a geographically dispersed workforce Experience working within a federal contracting environment Experience with high-volume recruiting and onboarding Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures Experience supporting audits and compliance initiatives What We Are Looking For The successful candidate will be a hands-on HR professional who takes ownership and gets things done.
