Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance with advanced accounting functions, including reporting financial operations of OrthoIllinois and affiliates.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinates the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recordedPrepares and reviews journal entries, reports, and account balance reconciliationsCompletes bank reconciliationsCompiles and distributes reporting packagesReviews balance sheet reconciliationsPerforms fixed asset reportingAssists with year-end audits, compilations, and tax return preparation and reviewAssists in the preparation of annual budget.Assists the Director of Finance in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers, executives, and stakeholdersAnalyzes financial information and summarizes financial driversPerforms variance analysis and makes recommendations based on analysisPartners with assigned department leaders to support reporting and understanding of their financialsCompetencies:Service: We align our actions and decision making with the organization's guiding platform keeping our patients at the center of all we do.Change Agent: We support and contribute to positive change in the organization.Communication and Interpersonal Relations: We communicate honestly and with compassion to build connections with our patients and each other.Effectiveness: We take ownership of work, doing the right thing for our customer and doing it well.Organizational Culture:All OrthoIllinois employees focus on service by putting the mission, vision, and value statements into practice and using the guiding principles of Compassion, Respect, Trust, Integrity, Innovation, Education Fiscal Responsibility, Practice Independence, Accountability, and Empowerment to direct their interactions and decision making.
