Location: Cape Coral Hospital / Lee Memorial Hospital Department: Neuro PCU / Neuro Stroke Work Type: Full Time Shift: Days and Nights 12hr shifts Pay Rate: $30.27 - $40.86 / hour Summary Registered Nurse (RN) positions in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) across Lee Health’s Cape Coral Hospital and Lee Memorial Hospital. Perform responsibilities in five areas of nursing practice utilizing critical thinking, management, problem solving and differentiation of urgency in roles as clinician, teacher, researcher, leader and professional developer. Coordinate nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards (ANA, Florida Nurse Practice Act, and other regulatory standards). Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes. Support the organization’s vision and mission. Use patient age, cultural diversity and other factors to provide quality nursing care. Contribute to quality improvement and customer service excellence. Requirements Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; associate or bachelor preferred. Experience: Experience required; competency assessment must be completed. Requirements may vary by department. Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. License: Licensed in the State of Florida. Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills. Location Specific: Cape Coral Hospital: 39‑bed unit, patient population includes stroke, TIA, syncope, GI/GU, cardiac and general PCU. Lee Memorial Hospital: 30‑bed unit, 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio, common diagnoses include stroke (minimal), brain and back surgery (minimal), cardiac, and general PCU patients.
