Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This role requires a strong background in public accounting, tax preparation, and review. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, a deep understanding of tax regulations, and the ability to provide clients with accurate, compliant, and strategic financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This role requires a strong background in public accounting, tax preparation, and review. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, a deep understanding of tax regulations, and the ability to provide clients with accurate, compliant, and strategic financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses prior to final partner review.
- Prepare complex federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Perform account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide tax planning support by evaluating client financial situations and recommending tax-efficient strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to collect documentation, address inquiries, and provide clear financial guidance.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Public Accounting (required).
- CPA license preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proven experience in tax preparation, tax return review, and account reconciliations.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
