Tax Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This role requires a strong background in public accounting, tax preparation, and review. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, a deep understanding of tax regulations, and the ability to provide clients with accurate, compliant, and strategic financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Review federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses prior to final partner review.
Prepare complex federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Perform account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Provide tax planning support by evaluating client financial situations and recommending tax-efficient strategies.
Collaborate with clients to collect documentation, address inquiries, and provide clear financial guidance.
Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Public Accounting (required).
CPA license preferred but not required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
Proven experience in tax preparation, tax return review, and account reconciliations.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
